Hi friends,

Check out my latest episode with SMU 👇
I. Being a Solopreneur on the Internet
🎧 Listen (48 min): Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Youtube
In this episode, I sat down with Singapore Management University (SMU) Entrepreneurship students and go over:
Why I left my job and started Steady Compounding?
How has my education or previous job prepared me for my entrepreneurship journey?
What were the tools needed for me to start an online business?
How do I find my niche and decide what to focus on?
What are my goals for Steady Compounding?
What are the skills that are the most valuable for entrepreneurship?
II. Joe Rogan Experience - David Choe
I watched this entire 4-hours interview in one sitting. This was recommended by a fellow investor I met this week, but often the conversation goes beyond investing.
The central theme of this interview surrounded David Choe’s life experience, mental health and growth.
The storytelling, authenticity, and insights in this interview were remarkable.
Enjoy!
III. The Painful Decision to Hold Cash by Seth Klarman
There's always a lot of debate between whether to keep some cash in your portfolio or always be fully invested regardless of valuations.
The rule of thumb for me is to keep enough cash based on your sleep tolerance. If you are losing sleep, it means you need some slack in your portfolio.
Some key takeaways from Seth Klarman on holding cash in your portfolio:
Cash is a call option for future opportunities
Cash makes investors antifragile, during periods of pullback is also when you need cash the most. You are less likely to be forced to liquidate.
Better to be patient than poor. There are times to make money and there are times to avoid losing money.
