3-Bullet Sunday (The eagle that lived and died a chicken, permissionless leverage, and check out my Youtube channel!)
Hi Everyone!
Hope you enjoyed the deep dive on Sea Limited: Garena. Within 48 hours, it garnered more than 4,000 views and went viral on Twitter.
I spent a lot of effort discussing the intricacies and nuances of the gaming industry, without which it would be difficult to appreciate the level Garena has executed at and why it is sitting on such a strong tailwind.
Likewise, for my upcoming deep dive on Shopee, I will walk you through what it takes for eCommerce to succeed, especially in emerging economies such as Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Join us today and become a member to gain access to all our deep dives, which include companies such as Twilio and Facebook.
I. Be intentional about who you surround yourself with.
A parable from priest and therapist Anthony de Mello on the stories we tell ourselves:
"A man found an eagle's egg and put it in a nest of a barnyard hen. The eaglet hatched with the brood of chickens and grew up with them.
All his life the eagle did what the barnyard chicks did, thinking he was a barnyard chicken. He scratched the earth for worms and insects. He clucked and cackled. And he would thrash his wings and fly a few feet into the air.
Years passed and the eagle grew very old. One day he saw a magnificent bird above him in the cloudless sky. It glided in graceful majesty among the powerful wind currents, with scarcely a beat of its strong golden wings.
The old eagle looked up in awe. "Who's that?" he asked.
"That's the eagle, the king of the birds," said his neighbor. "He belongs to the sky. We belong to the earth—we're chickens."
So the eagle lived and died a chicken, for that's what he thought he was."

II. Why I chose online work over the traditional 9 to 5 job.
III. How to Start Writing Online?
I have finally started my Youtube channel! If you enjoy the content, do help to subscribe and like the video, it goes a long way.
Writing online is one of the actions I’ve taken that has yielded the highest ROI. If there’s one thing I could advise my younger self, writing online would definitely be on the top of that list, right after investing in high-quality compounders (as opposed to hunting for cheap companies).
If you like to start writing online, this video will show you what has worked for me, and the different platforms you may consider.
Enjoy!
P.S. If you have any advice on how to be better, please do not hesitate to let me know by replying to this email or commenting directly in the video. I appreciate all feedback.
